How to make videos in ChatGPT
A lot of real work now happens in ChatGPT: the pricing decision, the onboarding plan, the analysis of last month's numbers. When the next step is a video, you no longer have to leave. Add Ozor as a connector and ChatGPT builds the video right there in the conversation: it plans the scenes, writes each one as animated code with narration, and hands you a link to a finished, brand-styled video in Ozor.
Quick Answer
To make videos in ChatGPT, turn on developer mode (Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings), click Create, name the connector Ozor, paste https://api.ozor.ai/mcp, pick OAuth and approve in Ozor. Then add the Ozor connector to a chat and ask for a video. ChatGPT writes and narrates each scene; Ozor checks, voices and saves them and returns a link to watch, edit or export the video.
In this guide
Add Ozor to ChatGPT in four steps
ChatGPT supports remote MCP servers as connectors once developer mode is on. Ozor's connector uses OAuth, so there is no key to copy; you approve the connection on an Ozor page.
Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors, go to Advanced settings and switch on developer mode. This is what lets ChatGPT use connectors you add yourself, like Ozor's. Developer mode is available on ChatGPT's paid plans.
Create the Ozor connector
Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create. Name it Ozor, paste Ozor's connector link (https://api.ozor.ai/mcp, also copied for you by the Connect with ChatGPT button in Ozor under Developer → Connect AI assistants) and choose OAuth for authentication.
Approve in Ozor
ChatGPT opens Ozor's approval page. Sign in (or create a free account), check that it is ChatGPT asking, and click Approve. ChatGPT now lists Ozor's tools. Revoke it whenever you like under Developer → Connected AI apps in Ozor.
Use it in a chat
In a new chat, add the Ozor connector from the + menu (with developer mode, connectors you created appear there) and ask for a video. ChatGPT reads Ozor's scene guide, starts the video, adds the scenes one by one with a short progress line after each, and gives you the link to watch it in Ozor.
ChatGPT's menus move around between releases. If a label above does not match, look for "developer mode" and "Create" under the connectors or apps settings; the link and the OAuth choice are what matter.
How ChatGPT builds the video
Ozor gives every connected assistant the same instructions, so ChatGPT works the way Claude does. It reads the scene guide once, fetches your brand kit, plans the scenes, and calls start_video, which immediately returns an editor link you can open. Then it adds scenes in order with add_scene, each one a React component, its on-screen content, and a line or two of narration, and tells you after each one: "✓ Scene 2/4 — How it works (5.3 s, narrated)".
Every scene is checked before it is saved: the code has to compile, follow the renderer's rules, and actually render its first, middle and last frame. If something is off, ChatGPT gets the precise error and fixes just that scene; nothing is saved or charged until it passes. The details are in why agent-made videos don't break.

Say who the video is for, how long it should be, the aspect ratio, and whether to narrate. Naming "the Ozor connector" makes ChatGPT use it right away.
Turn a chat into a video
“We just worked out the pricing change in this chat. Use the Ozor connector to make a 45-second video announcing it to customers: what's changing, why, and what they need to do. Friendly narration, our brand kit.”
Explain a concept
“Make a 60-second animated explainer on how compound interest works, for high-school students. One idea per scene, a growing chart in the middle, simple narration.”
Data to video
“Here's the CSV of last month's signups by channel. Make a 30-second recap: the total, the top three channels as an animated bar race, and one takeaway. 16:9, narrated.”
Another language
“Make the same video again with Spanish narration and on-screen text, in 9:16 for Instagram.”
You can also start from Ozor: type the idea on the create page and click Create with ChatGPT. ChatGPT opens with your request filled in (and copied to your clipboard, in case the box comes up empty).
Editing, exporting and sharing
Ask for changes in the same chat and ChatGPT rewrites only the scene you mean. Code changes are free; new narration counts toward the ten included per credit. You can also open the editor link and keep going in Ozor: play it back, add music, reorder scenes.
ChatGPT will not export until you ask. When you want a file or a link, say so and it renders the MP4 (720p, 1080p or 4K), waits for the render and returns the watch page, the MP4 and an embed link. Share links can be public, or limited to people you invite; see private video sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT make videos?
With the Ozor connector, yes. ChatGPT writes each scene of the video as a small React animation plus its narration, and Ozor checks the code, generates the voiceover, saves the video to your Ozor account and renders the MP4 when you ask. The result is a narrated motion-graphics video with your brand, not a generated clip.
Which ChatGPT plans can use the Ozor connector?
Adding your own connector requires ChatGPT's developer mode, which is available on paid plans. On business plans, a workspace admin may need to enable developer mode or approve the connector. If you are on a free ChatGPT plan, Claude's free plan allows one custom connector, so you can use Ozor there instead.
Is the Ozor connector the same as Sora?
No. Sora generates video footage from a prompt. Ozor builds motion-graphics videos from code: on-screen text, charts, product UI, logos and narration that you can edit scene by scene. Use Sora for cinematic footage; use Ozor when the video has to say something precise, like an explainer, a product walkthrough or a metric recap.
What does it cost?
One Ozor credit per video, covering up to ten narrations; every ten more cost another credit. Code edits, previews and exports are free. The writing runs on your ChatGPT plan. Ozor's free plan includes 6 credits.
Where do the videos go?
Into your Ozor dashboard, like any other Ozor video. ChatGPT gives you the editor link; open it to play the video, keep editing, add music or export. Ask ChatGPT for an MP4 or a share link and it exports for you, returning the watch page, the MP4 and an embed link.
